Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi attended the official funeral ceremony of the late poet Muthaffar Al-Nawab.
 
The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) affirmed that the official funeral ceremonies for the body of Al-Nawab began with a high popular and official presence."
 
The body of the great iconic poet Muthaffar Al-Nawab arrived home from Sharjah in UAE. Al-Nawab died on Friday in a Sharjah hospital at the age of 88 after succumbed to his illnesses.

Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed to transfer the body of the late Iraqi poet Muthaffar al-Nawab by presidential plane, to be buried in the homeland,” according to a statement issued by his office.
