New imminent decision regarding water crises will be issued, MOWR affirms

The Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, revealed on Sunday, that a Diwani Order will issued within two days regarding the water crisis.
Al-Hamdani told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), during his visit to Lake Al-Tharthar that "The visit falls within the continuous visits organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, and came to review the available storage and the possibility of using part of it to strengthen Tigris and Euphrates during the period of scarcity." 
 
He described the current situation as a normal one, stressing that the ministry is keen to overcome the existing crisis, but it is not as it is promoted in the media."
He added, "Iraq is one of the countries most affected by climate change, so important allocations were made within the budget laws for 2022, and the Law of Emergency Support for Food Security and Development," stressing, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee and the government are keen to secure funds to address any real crisis that might happen."
