President Michel Aoun casted Sunday his vote urging all Lebanese to vote as he said that " "Voting is a duty; a citizen cannot be impartial in a matter as important as choosing the ruling system.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Najib Miqati had wished for a better tomorrow as he voted in his hometown Tripoli.
In the upcoming legislative race, Lebanese voters are supposed to choose 128 deputies distributed over 15 electoral districts, according to an electoral law based on proportionality on the basis of closed lists, with one preferential vote from each voter being given to a candidate on the list.
