Ministry of Interior announced Wednesday the dismantling of a drug trafficking network and the arrest of 11 suspects on the Rusafa side of Baghdad.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The intelligence of the Directorate for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances was able, through intelligence information, to arrest 11 suspects in possession of 16 kilograms of drugs."
The statement added, "The substances that were seized were crystal and narcotic hashish, in addition to various types of drug paraphernalia," noting that "they were referred to the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of legal article 28 of drugs."
