Al-Ghezi: E-governance program achieved positive steps

    General Secretariat of the Cabinet Hamid Naim Al-Ghezi confirmed on Wednesday, that the E-governance project has reached advanced stages, and has achieved positive steps in the process of automation and electronic connectivity.

    "The General Secretariat of the Cabinet, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, discussed with representatives of the Chinese Huawei Technology and Communications Company final measures to begin the process of developing E-governance and automation project, and then the stage of comprehensive digital transformation in government institutions, which will end the stage of mail handling and completion of paper transactions," said the General Secretariat of the Cabinet in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Al-Ghezi stressed "the need to exert effort and mobilize all energies with speed of work and accuracy in implementation in order to develop the national data center in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, and to establish an integrated database for official institutions, in addition to developing the skills of employees and enabling them to manage the project."

    He stressed that "the E-governance project has reached advanced stages and has achieved positive steps in the process of automation and electronic connectivity in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, and that the second phase is continuing to work which is to link agencies not associated with a ministry and all governorates within the electronic documents management program."
