MOD: An upcoming meeting on the alternative system

    Minister of Defense, Juma Inad, confirmed, today, Thursday, the quest to develop the air force, while revealing an upcoming meeting on the alternative system.
    Inad told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Today we celebrated the 91st anniversary of the founding of the heroic Iraqi Air Force," noting that "all countries of the world are interested in the air force, and it is called the long arm.".

    He added, "Any country that does not have an air force is considered backward," noting that "this force is an effective, important and prime weapon, and we must focus on it.".

    He continued, "Since I became the ministry two years ago, it has supported the air force category more than other types, and I have visited many countries and reviewed aircraft with the aim of developing the air force in a manner befitting the great Iraq.".

    On the current status of the Iraqi army, Inad confirmed, "The Iraqi army's hierarchy has become 34 globally after it was 57, while the Arabs have become fourth," explaining that "the Iraqi air force's hierarchy for the Arab world is the sixth."
    Regarding the alternative system, Inad affirmed that "Iraq is now in a state of war against terrorism, and the leaders will be meeting about the possibility of implementing the alternative system."
    And he indicated that "the alternative system was applied during the period of the Corona pandemic, for fear of the soldiers from being injured," noting that "this system does not serve us."
    In turn, the spokesman for the Office of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, congratulated the heroes of the Iraqi Air Force, officers, ranks, employees and associates on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi Air Force, noting that "there is interest in building the Iraqi Air Force since its establishment in a way that keeps pace with developments and defending Iraq." .
