Salah El-Din strengthens defense line in Hamrin with new forces

Salah El-Din Operations Commander, Major General Abdul Mohsen Hatem, confirmed Saturday the strengthening of the defense line in Hamrin with the launch of Iron Fist operations.

 Hatem told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Salah El-Din Operations Command has strengthened the defense line in Hamrin to prevent the infiltration of terrorist gangs into the province after the launch of Operation Iron Fist in Kirkuk."

 He pointed out that "the security forces found four explosive devices and detonated them."

 Last Wednesday, the Security Media Cell announced the launch of Operation Iron Hammer in Kirkuk Governorate.

 A statement by the cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, Operation Iron Hammer, a broad and comprehensive security operation, was launched to search Wadi al-Shay and Wadi Izghitun in Kirkuk Governorate and the areas adjacent to the Hamrin mountain range."
