Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed Wednesday the existence of malicious schemes aimed at restoring sedition by violating the holy shrines, calling on the government and the judicial institution to deal firmly with everyone who intends to stir up sedition.
Al- Al-Hakim said in a statement issued by his media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The recent attacks on the holy religious shrines and the call for their demolition and removal is reprehensible and unacceptable, involves suspicious projects, and is based on perverted ideas and visions at a dangerous and sensitive time.”
He added, "Those who make this call are well aware of the high status of these shrines, their lofty position and their great status in the hearts of millions of believers in Iraq and the world."
He pointed out, "In order to block a blind sedition that is intended to exploit the difficult political circumstance, we urge our people and the Islamic peoples to be aware of the malicious schemes that are going on to stir up sedition, and we call on the government and the judicial institution to deal firmly with everyone who intends to harm the sanctities of our people."
