Awaited Iraqi-Turkish meeting in Baghdad regarding Tigris River Protocol

Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani announced Friday an upcoming Iraqi-Turkish meeting in Baghdad.

 A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that: Minister of Water Resources and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister for Water Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani announced the holding of a high-level meeting in Baghdad after the holy month of Ramadan with the Special Envoy of the Turkish President for Water, Faisal Oroglu.

 He added that "the meeting will be about directing the joint research center and agreeing on the Tigris River Protocol, which will determine Iraq's water share."
