Mayor of Baghdad, Architect Alaa Maan, directed today, Thursday, the inclusion of the area surrounding the Manda Sabian Mandaean sect, with development work within the vision of the Renaissance of Baghdad.

The secretariat said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Maan received His Eminence Al-Rish, his mother, Sheikh Sattar Jabbar Helou, head of the Sabean-Mandaean sect, and the president and member of the Affairs Council in his office, today, and during the meeting, a set of requests were presented by the guests. ".

"The Mayor of Baghdad directed the project department's staff to conduct an inspection on the official website of the baptismal land of the Sabean Mandaean sect, which is located on the banks of the Tigris near the tourist island of weddings.". The office added.

The Mayor of Baghdad confirmed, according to the statement, that "the religious significance of the sect's official website makes us responsible for fulfilling the wishes of those in charge of it, which is to develop the place and add touches of beauty to suit the religious and social occasions held there, as well as covering the main and secondary roads leading to it.".
