The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Al-Khattabi, confirmed today, Thursday, that the Permanent Committee presented a set of recommendations, while stressing the need for a media industry that is open to the whole world.
Khattabi said during the meeting of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers in Baghdad, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The General Secretariat has a set of recommendations that resulted from the permanent media committee headed by Dr. Nabil Jassim, who demonstrated his great vision due to his great experience."
He added, "The meetings of the Permanent Committee emphasized the necessity of supporting the Palestinian cause and combating extremism and terrorism," noting that "the Committee must search for a media industry that is open to the entire world."
Khattabi lauded the organizational efforts that were made to hold the meetings," noting that "constructive discussions distinguished the Arab media."
