ICAA: New statement about PCR for departures and arrivals

    Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority - ICAA confirmed on Monday, that PCR test in Iraqi airports is linked to the conditions of the destination countries.
     
    "Iraq's airports will cancel PCR test requirement for arrivals to the country on the 1st of next April, while implementing the requirements of the intended countries," said the spokesman for the ICAA, Jihad Al-Diwan, to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
     
    He added that “Passengers to other countries from Baghdad Airport, the requirements would be determined within the conditions of the country to which the traveler is intended, with the necessity of meeting all of it. Baghdad Airport does not require travelers to check (PCR),”
     
    Earlier this month, ICAA issued a notice regarding the vaccination card for arrivals and departures from Iraq. 
     
    “Based on the decisions of the Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety, it is sufficient to present the international vaccination certificate of (COVID-19), for those coming to or departing from Iraq, whether Iraqi citizens or foreigners who are 12 years old and above, showing that they have received one dose of the vaccine (Johnson & Johnson), or two doses for the rest, and not to require a PCR test result when leaving or entering Iraq,” said ICAA in a statement.
