IFA: Al-Kadhimi supports removing the ban over Iraqi stadiums

Iraqi Football Association announced on Saturday that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi supports removing the ban imposed over Iraqi stadiums.

”PM Al-Kadhimi is strongly supportive of the legal measures taken by IFA by submitting a complaint to the Cup Court to recover Iraq's right to play on its land after transferring our team's match and Emirates to Saudi Arabia,” said a member of IFA, Firas Bahr Al-Uloum in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Bahr Al-Uloum noted, "The news that spreaded around on my behalf of not to file a complaint, is fake," stressing that "the Prime Minister played a pivotal role with the Minister of Youth and Sports in removing the ban imposed over Iraqi stadiums,”

"The Association is moving forward towards the return of international matches to Iraq after the decision to remove the international ban on our stadiums,” he included.
