The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi expressed satisfaction with his "good talks in Iran" and said the joint statement issued at the end of his visit will outline both sides' future steps, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He made the remarks while talking to reporters upon his arrival here Saturday night at the end of his one-day visit to Tehran during which he met and conferred with a number of senior Iranian officials about Iran's nuclear program.

When in Tehran, he met with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

At the end of their intensive discussions, the two sides issued a joint statement on need for accelerating and strengthening cooperation and dialogue to resolve existing issues.

He said he would present the IAEA Board of Governors with an outline of activities by June.
