United Nations Development Programme in Iraq (UNDP) affirmed on Saturday, its support for eco-tourism and reducing the repercussions of water security, stressing the need to enhance contributions by developing serious treatments in various sectors, while noting that the results of the international report were not up to the level of ambition to address climate change.

UNDP representative, Zina Ali Ahmed, said, in a speech at the second Baghdad International Water Conference, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The conference will discuss one of the most important natural and water resources to meet global challenges,  stressing the  many countries agreed to cooperate in order to confront these repercussions, and to draw up a report on national contributions with the participation of 115 countries, including Iraq," noting that "this agreement is still in force."
She pointed out that "It is necessary to strengthen contributions by developing serious treatments and supporting societies and people in various sectors."

She also indicated that "UNDP and donor countries are working to support infrastructure and eco-tourism and reduce the repercussions of water security of the migration of families in the affected areas."
