The activities of Baghdad 2nd International Water Conference kicked off on Saturday, said the reporter of The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The activities of the conference were launched under the patronage of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, under the slogan (Water and Climate Changes) with the participation of Arab and foreign countries,” the conference aims to achieve sustainable developments of water resources with Climate change for long-term conditions, activate coordination and cooperation with riparian countries within common but differentiated responsibility, and discussing climate changes and their impact on water resources and the global response to this issue.
The conference will also discuss the topic of exchanging experiences, overcoming water scarcity, sustaining surface and ground waters, preserving biodiversity, and developing water policy in line with climatic developments in the world.
