Al-Zamili calls on Jordan to facilitate the granting of entry visas and residency procedures to Iraqis

    The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, called today, Thursday, for Jordan to facilitate the granting of entry visas and residency procedures for Iraqis.

    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Zamili received the Jordanian ambassador to Iraq, Montaser Al-Zoubi and his accompanying delegation, and during the meeting, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation frameworks and activate the parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries were discussed.".

    The statement added, "Al-Zamili indicated that the House of Representatives set among its priorities an integrated approach that would build a strategic partnership and real openness, and reset economic relations with the Arab world and regional and global countries," calling on "the Jordanian side to facilitate granting entry visas and simplify the visa process." Residency procedures for Iraqis, especially patients, students, and merchants.

    The statement pointed out that "the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives invited Jordanian companies to invest in Iraq and implement all service and construction projects.".

    For his part, "the Jordanian ambassador blessed the success of the electoral democratic process in Iraq, conveying the greetings of King Abdullah II to the Iraqi parliament, and Jordan's desire to develop the relationship with Iraq at all levels.".

    According to the statement, the Jordanian ambassador invited the first deputy to visit Jordan to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two sides.
