Iraq hands over the Council of Arab Interior Ministers presidency to Oman

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi handed over the presidency of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers to the Ministry of Interior of Oman.

    ”After the successful management of the work of the thirty-eighth session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in the Republic of Tunisia, the Ministry of Interior, represented by Minister Othman Al-Ghanimi, handed over the management of the work of the thirty-ninth session to its counterpart, Oman,” according to a statement by the media office of the Minister of Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    This came during launching the activities of the thirty-ninth session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers on Wednesday, under the patronage of Tunisian President Qais bin Said and in the presence of the interior ministers of the Arab countries, high security delegations, in addition to representatives of the League of Arab States and the Gulf Cooperation Council,  Arab Morocco Union, the European Union, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Europol, the Counter-Terrorism Project in the Middle East and North Africa, the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the Sports Federation Arab Police.
