SDI announces the imminent establishment of three factories for drugs of cancer treatments

    The State Company for Drugs Industry and Medical Appliances (SDI) in Samarra, announced the imminent establishment of three factories for the production of cancer treatments, while confirming the production of a new product for the treatment of blood pressure.
     
    SDI General Manager, Khaled Mohi Alwan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The Company is going to negotiate with foreign companies to establish special factories for cancer drugs and preparations, which represent an important tributary for the company and to support the Iraqi economy in general."
     
    Alwan elaborated that "These factories are established for the first time in Iraq, and the Ministry of Health and the Iraqi market will be provided with these drugs that are produced for the first time in the country, and will cover the local market and the region in general because these factories have a special productivity," noting that " negotiations will be with British and Arab companies to produce these products.”
     
    He added that “SDI ,Within its investment plan, has laid the foundations for establishing three factories within the investment plan and the start of work on them, and currently the actual directing will take place to establish these factories and their own warehouses."
     
     
    In a related issue, Alwan confirmed that "The scientific staff at the company's research and development department was able to produce the preparation (Co-Diovasam) at a concentration of (12.5/160) mg, which is the first time that this product has been produced in Iraq," noting that “(25) thousand tapes had been produced for the specialized marketing agency.
