Salih congratulating the birth of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): We are inspired by his path to implement reform

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, congratulated today, Tuesday, the birth of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), pointing to the need to inspire from his path to implement reform.

Salih said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend our congratulations to our people and the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the birth of the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), as his legacy crossed the boundaries of time and place, a refuge for truth and justice and a supporter of the oppressed," noting that " His rhetoric was a beacon and an undivided path by rejecting injustice, fighting corruption, and achieving justice.”

He added: "On this great occasion, we must be inspired by the biography of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his approach as a way to implement real reform towards a capable state serving its citizens, worthy of the people of Iraq and its history, and to mobilize the determination to achieve this through will, decision and action."
