Logistical support targeting attempt foiled in Al-Muthanna

The Security Media Cell announced Sunday that it had thwarted an attempt to target logistical support convoys with two explosive devices in Al-Muthanna.
 
The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Through field follow-up and intensifying intelligence efforts, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior in Muthanna Governorate, and during the ongoing field survey, managed to thwart an attempt to target logistical support convoys with two explosive devices planted on the highway." .
 
"One of them was dismantled on site, and the other was detonated under the control of an explosives expert," the cell added.
