The Ministry of Health confirmed that the epidemiological situation is under control so far, while setting the condition for taking the third dose of the vaccine.
The Director-General of Health, Riyad Abdul-Amir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "so far, the epidemiological situation is under control with regard to medical preparations, supplies or hospitals to confront the increasing numbers of injuries," noting that "it is not possible to know whether the injuries will increase or not." It will stabilize for a certain period and in a horizontal position until it decreases, and this matter will be clarified in the coming days.”.
He pointed out that "the third dose of the vaccine is very necessary for those who took the second dose six months ago," stressing that "scientific research has proven that the third dose gives greater immunity, especially in the Omicron mutant, and reduces hospitalizations."
According to a document obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the purpose of this dose is to increase the immunity of the recipients of the vaccines and protect them from corona mutants, including Omikron.
