Iraq Civil Aviation Authority confirmed Friday the continuation of passenger traffic at Baghdad Airport.
ICAA said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): It "reassures travelers and public opinion of the continuation of passenger traffic in its normal state at all the country's airports, especially at Baghdad International Airport."
Earlier, Iraqi Airways confirmed Friday that direct passenger flights are continuing, while noting that one of the out-of-service aircraft was damaged as a result of targeting Baghdad Airport.
A statement by the Ministry of Transport media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the General Company for Iraqi Airways confirms that the missile bombing that targeted Baghdad International Airport at dawn today, Friday, damaged one of the company's out-of-service planes situated in the vicinity of the airport," noting that " Direct passenger flights continue.
