MOH: Measures against restaurants and malls violating requirements of Corona prevention

    The Ministry of Health revealed on Tuesday its measures on the follow-up of restaurants, malls and gathering places to reduce the Corona outbreak.
     
    "Health monitoring teams in the Ministry of Health in coordination with security and municipal authorities are following the work of restaurants, clubs and gathering places in terms of safety for food and beverages, especially in light of the Corona pandemic and physical spacing," Ministry of Health spokesman Saif al-Badr told The Iraqi News Agency INA.
     
    "The commitment to preventive health measures varies between restaurants and public places where they expose themselves to the law, including the Public Health Act and the Iraqi Penal Code," he said, stressing that "the ministry is following seriously with all concerned parties with the work of restaurants and others, and everyone should abide by the decisions of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety."
     
    On Monday, the Ministry of Health decided to include ages 18 and over with the third dose of Corona vaccine.
     
    According to a document obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Expanded Immunization Program held its meeting on 15 January 2022."
     
    "For the purpose of increasing the immunity of vaccine beneficiaries and protecting them from Corona, including Omicron, it was decided to include the ages over 18 with the third additional dose," the statement added.
