Foiling an attempt to target Balad Air Base in Salah al-Din, SMC says

The Security Media Cell-SMC announced on Saturday, thwarting an attempt to target Balad Air Base in Salah al-Din province.
 
"Three drones approached at dawn today, Saturday, from the southern perimeter of Balad Air Base in Salah al-Din province", SMC said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"The drones were spotted by the force tasked with protecting the external towers, assuring that they were enemy drones," noting that "the force opened fire towards these planes, which fled, “the statement added.
