The Sulaymaniyah Health Department announced that 10 tests were sent to Baghdad for people suspected of having Omicron.
The director general of the department, Sabah Hawrami, said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Sulaimaniyah Governorate has not yet recorded any cases of Omicron."
He added, "We have sent 10 tests to the central laboratory in Baghdad for people suspected of having Omicron," noting that "the results of the examination will appear within the next week."
Yhe Ministry of Health also announced, earlier, that 5 cases of the Omicron mutant had been recorded for returning travelers.
In addition to that, The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "cases of the Omicron mutant were recorded for a number of returnees from travel, through genetic tracking tests conducted by the Central Public Health Laboratory in Baghdad."
