The Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Muhammad Barikindo, today, Thursday, expressed his aspiration for the meeting of the member states and partners outside the organization in Baghdad.
Barikindo said, in a statement published by the Iraqi Oil Ministry, and the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend our great gratitude to the government and the heroic Iraqis for preserving the landmark of the People's Hall in Baghdad," adding: "We in OPEC are proud of the Iraqi leadership in this organization and effort." in the international oil industry.
Barikindo also continued, "On behalf of the member states, we extend our great thanks to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, and all government workers."
The Secretary-General expressed his thanks to "everyone who helped preserve and rehabilitate the landmark of the People's Hall, which was established in 1997 and preserve it."
Barikindo concluded by saying: "We look forward to meeting here with all member states and all our partners outside the OPEC alliance and those in charge of the international oil industry.".
