The Food and Drug Administration approved on Thursday to grant a second pill to treat Covid -19, adding another option to cure the Covid -19 at home and help keep people at high risk outside the hospital.

The approval of the new drug, "molnopiravir", produced by Merck, came a day after a similar approval was granted to the "Covid-19" pills produced by "Pfizer".

Although molnopiravir has been criticized for its "modest efficacy and potential safety risks", some experts believe that another tool will be useful, especially with the spread of the mutant "Omicron" that is resistant to other major treatments.
