Dhi Qar Governor Ahmed Al-Khafaji announced today, Thursday, that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi has approved his resignation request.
The Governor of Dhi Qar, Ahmed Ghani Al-Khafaji, has submitted his resignation from his position to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.
The media office of Dhi Qar Governor said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Thursday, that "The governor, Ahmed Ghani Al-Khafaji, submitted his resignation from his position, to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, for the public interest, and to provide security and stability and preserve the interests of the citizens of the province."
The statement indicated that “Al-Khafaji will hold a press conference on Thursday to explain the reasons and details of the resignation."
