CHINA suggested on the friendly countries to activate joint efforts to support developing countries in combating extremism, in order to create a more effective counter-terrorism strategy.
“We have to help the developing countries and the country which faced the terrorist threat, and providing support through strengthening counter-terrorist measures and methods of de-extremism” Chinese foreign Minister Assistant Ou Jianhao said.
He add “we have to consider some countries’ positions and needs regarding the fight against terrorism and the formation of a more realistic and comprehensive global strategy to combat terrorism“.
He expressed his belief that the final victory over extremism is possible only if the governments of the countries concerned will work to curb terrorism, and pay greater attention to economic, political, social, cultural and religious factors.
Jianhao explained, "During the past 20 years, the situation in Afghanistan has shown that eliminating terrorism by the use of force is difficult and does not have a long-term perspective".
