Iraq and Spain discuss the development of mutual military relations

Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant-General of the Special Forces, Abdul-Amir Rashid Yarallah, and his counterpart, the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Army, Lieutenant-General López Calderon discussed on Wednesday, ways to develop military relations between the two countries.

”Lieutenant-General Yarallah discussed, via a phone call he had with his Spanish counterpart, Lieutenant-General Calderon, ways to develop bilateral military relations between the Iraqi army and the Spanish army as to determine the aspects of military cooperation between the two armies," according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Both have also discussed ways that can be presented to support the Iraqi army in developing its capabilities through training.
