The Ministry of Migration and Displacement (MoMD) announced the return of (76) IDPs of (14) displaced families from (Ashti and Arbat) camps to their original areas in Salah Al-Din Governorate.
The Director-General of the Branch Affairs Department at the ministry, Ali Abbas Jahakir, confirmed in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Under the direction of the Minister of Migration and Displacement and in cooperation with the Sunni Endowment Office, 76 displaced persons were returned to their original areas of residence in Salah al-Din Governorate, within the emergency plan organized by the ministry to return the displaced voluntarily".
Jahakir added that "The return grant of one million dinars allocated from the Sunni Endowment included those returning families," noting that "the return of the displaced families came after completing the security check for them in coordination with the security forces and the local government, as the ministry is continuing the voluntary return of families in preparation for closing the displacement file".
