The Johns Hopkins University has released statistics showing that the total number of cases of coronavirus in the Arab countries has reached nearly 8.6 million, which is equivalent to 3 percent of the total cases in the world, according to the statistics issued.
The total number of deaths from the Corona virus reached 153,000, which represents about 2.8 percent of the total deaths in the world.
Iraq ranked first among the Arab countries, with nearly two million cases of coronavirus, followed by Jordan and Morocco with one million cases, and 951,000 cases, respectively.
With regard to deaths caused by this virus, Tunisia also ranked first, with 25.4 thousand deaths, followed by Iraq with (24) thousand deaths, and Egypt with (21.2) thousand cases.
