The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Australia.
The political body of the Sadrist movement said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, received the Australian ambassador to Iraq, Paula Elizabeth," noting that "the head of the political body of the Sadrist movement welcomed this visit to the headquarters of the body in the capital, Baghdad, reviewing with the ambassador the nature of the bilateral relationship between the two friendly countries at various levels.
The statement added, "During the meeting, Al-Mutairi touched on the importance of this stage for the Iraqi people, as he aspires to a government that meets the aspirations of Iraqis to live a comfortable and a decent life away from corruption and quotas."
For her part, the Australian ambassador expressed her happiness for visiting the political body of the Sadrist movement and meeting with the head of the body, "noting that her country hopes for more joint cooperation with Iraq in all fields."
