The head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, stressed today, Sunday, the need to develop relations between Iraq and Lebanon.
A statement issued by the political body of the Sadrist movement and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "Al-Mutairi received today, Sunday, December 12, 2021, the Lebanese ambassador to Iraq, Ali Al-Habhab, at the authority's headquarters in the capital, Baghdad."
During the meeting, the head of the Sadrist movement stressed the need to maintain relations between the two brotherly countries and seek to develop it in a way that meets the aspirations of the two peoples according to the foundations of brotherly ties.
Al-Mutairi pointed out to "the importance of such visits in exchanging views on various issues of common concern," stressing that "the aspirations of peoples for a decent and dignified life must be met."
For his part, the Lebanese ambassador expressed his happiness for visiting the political body of the Sadrist movement, expressing his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations at various levels and fields.
