AIFI thwarts a smuggling attempt of more than 7 kilograms of narcotics in Sulaymaniyah

The Security Media Cell announced on Saturday, that it had thwarted a smuggling attempt of more than seven kilograms of narcotic pills and one kilogram of Triac by The Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigation (AIFI), on the border strip between Sulaymaniyah province and a neighboring country.
 
A statement by the Security Media Cell, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that " The Agency of Intelligence and Federal Investigation (AIFI), through a qualitative operation based on accurate information, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle about seven kilograms of narcotic pills, 9,000 narcotic pills and a kilogram of black Triac that were hidden inside the land and  prepared to be smuggled into our country on the border strip between Sulaymaniyah province and one of the neighboring countries.
 
The statement pointed out that "The materials were seized and all the legal measures were taken against the accused."
