Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Wednesday, that Iraq played a positive role in the dialogue between Tehran and Riyadh.
"We conducted four rounds of dialogue with Saudia Arabia in Iraq, and both parties participated in the dialogue seriously and honestly," said the Director of Gulf Affairs Department at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ali Reza Enayati, in an interview with the Iranian Al-Alam TV channel.
He added, "Iraq played a constructive role in the Iranian-Saudi dialogue, and there is a progress,"
"Iran did not address regional issues in the dialogue with Saudi Arabia, but may raise issues that serve the region in the future if more progress is made in the dialogue," he noted.
