INA-Baghdad Four teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent started Saturday to set up four water purification plants in each of the districts of Abu Al-Khasib, Safwan, Shatt Al-Arab and Zubayr with a production capacity of 2,000 liters per hour. The society declared that each plant is equipped with a seawater filter to treat highly saline water up to 3000 mg/ liter, as a first portion of 16 plants with the same technical specifications most of them would be installed in areas and districts of Basra province to address the scarcity of drinking water.
