The Sadrist movement and Al-Fateh coalition confirmed on Monday, that no date has yet been set for the second meeting between the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr and the forces of the Coordination Framework, while the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement indicated that the first meeting broke the political deadlock and sent very positive messages as that the formation of the sub-committees needs time.

"The announcement in the last meeting in the presence of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to form committees that did not declare themselves, their work, in my estimation, awaits the approval of the Federal Court on the results of elections until they become official,” said a member of the office of the martyr al-Sadr, Sheikh Sadiq al-Hasnawi, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Regarding the al-Hanana meeting, al-Hasnawi indicated that "what was reported about setting a date was published on social media only, as there is no official source that talked about setting the meeting and holding it in al-Hanana,”

In turn, the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, which is affiliated with the Al-Fateh Alliance, stressed the need for more time before completing the formation of sub-committees.

“The formation of the committees emanating from the meeting needs time, and the meeting that was held at al-Amiri's house broke the political deadlock," said a member of the movement's political bureau, Mahmoud al-Rubaie, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He stressed that "there was an invitation sent after the meeting at the house of the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri to attend al-Hanana, which is likely to occur soon,”

“The meeting, which was held at al-Amiri's house in the presence of Mr. Al-Sadr and the leaders of the Framework, broke the political deadlock and sent a message of reassurance to the Iraqi people that the differences will not reach clash and intersection," he noted, adding that "the meeting ended a political estrangement that lasted for years between the parties and was positive,”

He continued, "The upcoming meetings between the delegations of the Framework and the Sadrist movement could be the formation of committees and defining their tasks and responsibilities in specific areas,"
