The Ministry of Culture launches the slogan of the Iraqi state’s centenary

    The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities launched the slogan of the centenary of the Iraqi state, coinciding with the central ceremony organized by the ministry on the tenth of this month . 

    A statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the logo consists of three main parts that represent: the Iraqi flag, the Sumerian star, and the palm tree." 

    He added, "The logo was designed using the Sumerian letter as a pivotal element that embodies the civilization and authenticity of Iraq and symbolizes the most important what this country has provided to humanity through its discovery of writing, and above the logo is the Sumerian sign (Ishtar star), which is an eight star that indicates the sides of the universe, expresses comprehensiveness and has a link Close to the beliefs of the Sumerians at the time . 

    He continued, "While the logo of the god Anu was rotated according to Sumerian beliefs to represent the Iraqi palm, which indicates the rise and loftiness and reflects the fertility and renewal of the land of Mesopotamia, and the two upper parts "the eight star and the palm" are based on the Iraqi flag, which was designed in the form of waves embracing the Iraqi palm, an expression of the people's connection to their land and civilization. . "  

    It is worth noting that the Iraqi state's centennial ceremony will witness many cultural, artistic and archaeological events and performances, in which a group of senior intellectuals will participate .
