The inauguration of Al-Rasheed Theater after 18 years of closure 

Minister of Culture, Hassan Nadhim, inaugurated today, Saturday, Al-Rasheed Theater, after 18 years of its closure, as part of the activities of the Baghdad International Theater Festival, which starts today. 

 A reporter for the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Nadhim opened Al-Rasheed Theater after a closure that lasted for more than 18 years, as part of the activities of the Baghdad International Theater Festival," explaining that "the Syndicate of Artists, Jabbar Judy, attended the opening ceremony with the heads of delegations in addition to a number of officials." In the ministry and a large audience of artists and intellectuals. 

He added that "the theater was exposed in the events of 2003 to burning and looting of its contents, and successive governments were unable to rehabilitate it for financial reasons.". 

The activities of the Baghdad International Theater Festival began today, in which Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Oman and Italy will participate, where more than 15 Arab and Iraqi theatrical works will be presented.
