Jordan on Sunday condemned in the strongest terms the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
"The Kingdom of Jordan condemns in the strongest terms the failed terrorist assassination attempt on Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi at dawn," the foreign ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.
"The Kingdom stands in full solidarity with Iraq and its brotherly people, fully supports its security and stability, and the Iraqi government's efforts to combat terrorism, promote the democratic process and preserve national achievements," the ministry said.
"The Kingdom fully condemns all cowardly terrorist acts and acts that would threaten the security and stability of Iraq," the ministry said.
