Investment opportunities to develop the rubber and tires industries in Iraq

The Ministry of Industry revealed the features of producing Iraqi batteries and tires, while indicating that there are investment opportunities to develop tire production.
The media office of the Ministry of Industry told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "according to the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to prepare the priorities and the ministerial program for the next government, the Minister of Industry held an urgent meeting and directed the formation of a committee from the departments of technical, planning, development, industrial and economic arrangement, the policy department and the minister's office to put a strategic study according to the requirements of the next phase, to advance the national industry and develop local products for the public, private and mixed industrial sectors to enable it to naturally compete with similar imported products in a way that enhances the competitiveness and independence of the Iraqi industry, and submits it to the Minister for the purpose of reviewing and taking appropriate decisions and recommendations regarding implementation it.
 
And the media continued, "The General Company for Rubber Industries and Tires continues to produce Babel and Diwaniyah tires in specific sizes," explaining that "the company has announced investment opportunities and projects for the purpose of increasing production capacities and producing other types of tires according to market and consumer requirements."
