Iraqi universities enhance their positions in the World Ranking

    The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Monday, that 22 Iraqi universities have achieved important competitive ranks in the QS World University Rankings of the Arab Regions universities.
     
    A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The official website of the QS world ranking recorded an increase of 6 universities over last year's records, so that the University of Baghdad was ranked 26th out of 181 Arab universities that competed according to the standards of academic reputation and the percentage of faculty members compared to the number of students In addition to the international scientific research network and electronic influence, and the percentage of PhD holders.
     
    The statement added, "A number of universities that competed for the first time in the world rankings appeared in the record, namely Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Information and Communication Technology, Nineveh and Fallujah, while Al-Kitab University emerged for the first time."
