The Patriarch of the Chaldean sect in Iraq and the world, Louis Sako, affirmed today, Saturday, that the political blockage does not serve and that rationality and calm must be adopted.

Sako said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "from a patriotic and conscientious standpoint, I address you with these words stemming from my love and concern for the homeland and the citizens. The brave ones adopt rationality, calm, and not charging.” He added: “Iraq is in your neck.”.

He explained that "the winners have the right to rejoice, but they do not have the right to break the losers. This is not the character of the knights, and whoever feels unfair, he must resort to justice and the judiciary and not to weapons.".

He pointed out that "compromising civil peace, national unity and the safety of citizens is a major sin," stressing that "profits and losses are the norm of life, and after four years new elections will come, so let everyone learn the lesson, and let the politicians understand that the reluctance of the majority of citizens to vote expresses their frustration.".

He concluded his speech by saying: "I invite everyone to pray in these difficult days so that God may have mercy on Iraq, and express the storm."
