The Chinese government decided today, Wednesday to support Iraq one million doses of Corona vaccine .
Iraq's ambassador to China, Shorsh Khaled Saeed, said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Chinese government has decided to give Iraq a new batch of the Sinopharma anti-Covid 19 vaccine by one million doses."
He explained, "The shipment will arrive at Baghdad International Airport tomorrow," noting that "the total of Chinese grants to Iraq amounted to one million seven hundred and fifty thousand doses of the inactivated vaccine for Covid 19."
Saeed indicated that he "met the Premier of the Republic of China Li Keqiang, who confirmed his government's readiness to support Iraq and provide assistance to confront the pandemic."
The ambassador expressed "the government of the Republic of Iraq's thanks to its Chinese counterpart for the aid and medical supplies it provided to the Iraqi health sector during the last period," explaining that "this aid contributed significantly to strengthening Iraq's efforts to combat the emerging corona virus."
