The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced Friday that it has taken a decision against the perpetrators of violations and attempts to sabotage the electoral process.
the Iraqi News Agency (INA), obtained a document issued by the Independent High Electoral Commission, addressed to the national constituencies and its divisions, the Kurdistan Region Elections Commission, and offices in all governorates, which stated: “The decisions of the Supreme Judicial Council adopted in its fifteenth session on 4/10/2021 stipulating the formation of judicial committees in all government courts To receive complaints and news by security committees formed by the Prime Minister to protect the integrity of elections from legal irregularities that may be committed on election day.
According to the document, the commission added: "It is attributed that the perpetrators of legal violations, violations, attempts to sabotage the electoral process and failures to perform duty committed by staff are referred to the provincial security committees to be referred to the judicial committees in question to take the necessary legal measures against them."
