Minister of Electricity Adel Karim confirmed on Friday, the completion of hundreds of power plants and transfer stations.
Minister of electricity, Adel Karim, received the Jordanian Minister of Works and Housing, accompanied by the Jordanian ambassador, in a friendly visit aimed at discussing projects to develop the electricity industry between Iraq and The Kingdom of Jordan, according to a ministry statement received by the News Agency of Iraq (INA).
The statement added that "the Jordanian minister expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Iraqi side, stressing the specificity of cooperation with Iraqi ministry of electricity, and praised the total efforts that it is working on, and invested the opportunity of the visit to accomplish many important steps related to harnessing the possibilities and resources of Jordanian companies to serve the Ministry of Electricity."
For his part, Minister of Electricity explained the that "there are important steps agreed in previous meetings and the horizons are open, and we have a number of strategic partnerships involving renewable energies projects, pointing out that "the ministry is working to complete hundreds of power plants and transfer stations.”
"The current cooperation between both governments should be a gateway to what is more comprehensive and broader in all areas supporting the overall development of the economy and industry, and the way Jordan works in the field of investment and energy has always been very consistent with the new global trends that Iraq is seeking to catch up with by turning it into an open market where there are no closed horizons for anyone, and our support is unlimited for every idea and way of working that expands our steps towards our new goals," he said.
