National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, stressed today, Thursday, the importance of bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Qatar in support of the security and stability of the region.
The media office of the National Security Adviser stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, received in his office today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Baghdad, Khalid bin Hamad Al-Sulaiti."
The statement added, "During the meeting, they discussed the political and security situations, at the regional and international levels, and ways to enhance brotherly relations between the two countries, in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.".
Al-Araji expressed his "happiness to meet", praising "the positions of the brotherly State of Qatar in support of the stability and security of the region.".
He stressed, "the importance of bilateral cooperation in issues that serve the security and stability of the region.".
For his part, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar extended an invitation to Al-Araji to attend the Global Security Forum to be held in Qatar, an international meeting that brings together leaders and experts from government and security agencies, in order to study the challenges facing global security.
