The Security Committee has completed all preparations and has indicated that it will not allow the elections to be breached, the Board of Commissioners said on Thursday,
"Since the current council took office, the commission has faced a number of internal and external challenges," council president Jalil Adnan Khalaf told a press conference attended by a reporter from the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“All the logistics were done properly," he said.
"The commission itself has committed to announce the results of the elections within 24 hours," Khalaf said.
"The security committee for the elections has completed all preparations," he said, “Stressing that, "There is no way but to participate in the elections and the turnout will be determined by the voters”.
"The council has paid attention to its office in Kirkuk, a council member and representatives of the United Nations to oversee the Kirkuk elections," he said.
”The Commission has begun to study the complaints in the 2018 elections and has amended them and avoided all observations," commission chairman Jalil Adnan said.
Since taking office, the commission has set up a committee to count displaced persons," said Fayyad Yassin Hussein, a member of the Commission's council.
